Vintage Murals
Vintage Murals
Distinctive murals are not a new sight in Chippewa Falls. Many folks are familiar with the long murals on the west side of town on Business 29. In 2006, several more were painted on the walls of downtown businesses, this time depicting vintage advertising for both products sold and events that took place in Chippewa Falls. Click the links below to view some of the murals (in addition to the two images shown above): Studebaker, Chippewa Woolens, Mt. Cabin Soda, Leinenkugel's 1, Bischel Meat Market, Leinenkugel's 2

"Employees say they hear footsteps walking up and down the stairs at night when they close up. And there use to be these roses painted on the wall and when the new owners purchased the place, they painted over the walls but after a while, the roses would bleed through and they would still try to paint over the wall and still the roses bleed through the paint."

"Michell and Michael Eisold bought the Irvine Bar 4 months ago. They shut the bar down for three days to renovate this quaint little tavern. As the remodeling started, so did the paranormal activity. Bar stools coming down off the bar, apparitions seen staring at the patrons, opening doors, and various electronic devices acting up were just some of the symptoms."

"We recently spoke to someone who used to work there and had an eerie encounter. One night she was cleaning either the distribution center or the corporate office (not sure which building exactly). While she was taking out the garbage, she felt something like a presence near her. Then she felt something or someone brush right past her but when she turned quickly, no one was there. She also told us that another employee had a similar experience and the next day that person abruptly quit."
