The grave of Mary Glovchaski, who lived from 1798 - 1910. Well, okay, it's not exactly paranormal, but just imagine the things she saw in her lifetime. She was alive during the death of George Washington (1799) and the birth of Scatman Crothers. "A hangar is reportedly haunted. The story goes that the airport manager in the 1940s, one Archie Towle, died in a crash there in 1945. His ghost now haunts the hangar he frequented in life. "The Bridge to Body Island"

Although the bulk of this true story takes place in Sun Prairie (Dane County), the title refers to the train trestle near downtown Wausau that extends to Barkers Island (otherwise known as Body Island).  This disturbing account from the book "The President's Vampire: Strange-but-True Tales of the United States of America" details a group of three friends who, while using an old Ouija board in 1990, learn of a terrifying being whose very name must not be known.

In the book "Spooky Wisconsin" is a chilling tale of a widow who has visions of her husband in his grave.

"The Marathon County Historical Museum is housed in a National Registered Historical Landmark, the neo-classical home built in 1900 for Cyrus Yawkey. The exterior of the mansion remains unchanged and the interior features an authentically furnished music room, dining room, and parlor that reflect the gracious living of a bygone era. The rooms of the second and third floors have been remodeled to house rotating and visiting local and regional history exhibits."
